Overview

Unique Caño Negro offers an incredible wildlife experience near the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, one of the best destinations in Costa Rica for spotting a wide variety of animals, especially birds. On the way, you’ll pass through local plantations such as cassava, papaya, pineapple, sugar cane, and orange. Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing fruit snack and natural juice at “El Caimán” before a 2-hour boat tour along the Río Frío. This area is rich in biodiversity, giving you the chance to observe an impressive variety of wildlife, including numerous bird species, monkeys (such as the rare orange howler monkey), iguanas, caimans, and much more, all in their natural habitat. The experience ends with a delicious traditional lunch and a brief tasting of sugarcane and cacao, offering a touch of Costa Rican culture. This activity includes shared transportation for both pick-up and drop-off.
